Planning APPLICATIONS 

We are experienced in carrying out noise/vibration surveys and assessments for a range of planning applications, both outline and full detailed planning.  Our reports usually include design mitigation if required, and are presented in a format accepted by the relevant planning authority.

Noise Surveys & Assessments

We are able to carry out noise surveys and assessments in all sectors including environmental, industrial, commercial, retail, transportation, education, healthcare and community / social issues.

Vibration Surveys & ASSESSMENTS

We are able to carry out vibration surveys and assessments for planning applications, nuisance noise or annoyance, or for compliance in relation to a range of equipment or phenomena including industrial machinery, railways, road networks, recycling or mineral extraction / mining, power and energy sectors and demolition / construction.

We are able to carry out sound insulation testing in accordance with the 'Building Regulations Approved Document E - Resistance to Sound', to ensure party wall and party floor insulation complies with current legislation.

Both pre-test or 3rd party accredited testing is available in accordance with ANC or UKAS requirements

ACOUSTIC DESIGN / NOISE MITIGATion

 Using various software platforms and based on many years in the acoustics industry, we are able to provide noise mitigation advice aimed at reducing any noise issue to an acceptable limit.  We are now able to supply bespoke acoustic enclosures, noise survey facade mounts, under screed resilient matting, floating floor products and more.

WORKPLACED NOISE & VIBRATION SERVICES

 Our consultants are qualified and have vast experience in undertaking occupational noise and vibration at work assessments in the workplace, in accordance with current Health and Safety (HSE) requirements.  We are equipped to carry out not only Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) but also Whole Body Vibration (WBV) testing as required.

NOISE MAPPING & SOUND PROPAGATION

 For new and existing sites where noise need be predicted/calculated over distance, or the level of adverse impact calculated, we are able to carry out detailed assessments and calculations using Noise Map Calculation Software.

For more complicated calculations, we can create a computer model to produce noise maps with graduated noise contours

ACOUSTIC SALES & HIRE SERVICES

Our sales/hire department are able to assist customers with equipment calibration, short/long term acoustic hire and HSE training.

The range of equipment we can supply/hire or arrange calibration on includes sound level meters, vibration meters VDV, HAV, WBV etc, portable acoustic calibrators, dose meters and tapping hammers etc.
